Privacy Policy

Last updated: 27 September 2026

This policy explains what personal information Wellorious collects through wellorious.com, why we collect it, who we share it with and the choices you have.

Who we are

Wellorious publishes educational health and wellness content and sells digital products delivered as PDFs. The responsible party for the personal information described here is Jayde Energy (Pty) Ltd, a private company registered in South Africa (registration number 2015/116523/07), trading as Wellorious. Contact: admin@wellorious.com or +27 83 872 9413. Our full supplier details are in our Terms of Use and Sale. Information Officer: Jay Naidoo, director.

Information we collect and why

Free guide requests. When you request the free 5 Simple Shifts guide, we collect your email address. Our form software also records the submission date, the page the form was submitted from, and the browser and device type. We use this information to email you the guide and to keep a record of the request. Requesting the guide does not subscribe you to a newsletter or marketing emails. Guide requests are stored in our website database. We keep them for 12 months and then delete them.

Purchases. Our digital products are sold through Payhip, which runs the checkout and delivers the download. When you buy, Payhip collects the information needed to complete the order, such as your email address and country. Payment is currently handled by PayPal. We do not receive your full card or PayPal account details. Payhip gives us order details such as your email address, country, the product you bought, the price and the order date. We use this information to fulfil your order, handle refunds and support requests, and keep the records we need for tax and accounting.

Emails you send us. If you contact us, we use your email address and the content of your message to respond and to keep a record of the correspondence. Please do not send medical records or other sensitive health information to our general mailbox.

Questions sent through Ask Wellorious. If you use our Ask Wellorious form, we collect your question and, only if you choose to give them, your name, the article or topic it relates to, and your email address. Our form software also records the submission date, the page the form was submitted from, and the browser and device type. We use this information to read your question, to reply if you gave an email address, and to help us decide which general topics to cover. Questions are private: we do not publish them or show them as comments, and sending one does not subscribe you to a newsletter or marketing emails. Submissions are stored in our website database and a copy is sent to our email inbox. We keep them for 12 months and then delete them. Please do not include symptoms, diagnoses or other sensitive health information in your question.

Technical and security information. Our hosting provider and our website security software process IP addresses and request details (such as the pages requested, time, browser type and referring page) to deliver the site, prevent abuse and protect the site against malicious traffic. Our hosting provider keeps these logs for a limited period under its own retention settings.

What we do not do

  • We do not use analytics tools, advertising pixels or tracking cookies on wellorious.com.
  • We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
  • We do not send marketing emails. If we introduce a newsletter, it will require its own separate sign-up and we will update this policy first.

Cookies and similar technologies

Wellorious does not use cookies for analytics or advertising. Product pages load Payhip’s checkout script. The script may set functional cookies on Payhip’s domain to operate the cart and checkout. Payhip’s own checkout pages use analytics and advertising tools under Payhip’s policies. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Who we share information with

  • Hostinger, our web hosting and email provider, which stores the website, its database and our email.
  • Payhip, which provides checkout, order processing and file delivery, and PayPal, which processes payments. Each handles your information under its own privacy policy.
  • Professional advisers, authorities or courts where the law requires it or where it is needed to establish or defend legal claims.

Our website is hosted on Hostinger servers in the United States. Payhip and PayPal may process information in other countries. Where personal information is transferred outside South Africa, we rely on the safeguards the law allows, including our providers’ contractual commitments.

Your rights

You can ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. You can also object to our processing it. To make a request, email admin@wellorious.com. We may need to verify your identity before we act. If you are in South Africa and are unhappy with how we handled your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za). Depending on where you live, you may have similar rights under your local law.

U.S. state privacy rights

Some U.S. states give residents additional privacy rights, depending on whether a state’s law applies to us. We honour those rights where they apply. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), security software and restricted administrator access. No online service can guarantee complete security.

Children

Wellorious is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We will update this policy when our practices change and show the date of the latest version at the top.
